Taylor Doherty has signed his contract!
57th pick in 2009 NHL Draft has signed until the end of the season. Tylor Doherty is a tremendously strong defender, standing at 6’8’’ and weighing 236 lbs.
Taylor Doherty, born March 2nd 1991 in Cambridge, Ontario began his career playing for Cambridge Hawks, until he signed with OHL’s Kingston Frontenacs. He had an opportunity to represent his country in the 2009 IIHF World U18 Championships taking 4th place behind Finland, Russia and United States.
In 2009 the San Jose Sharks took Taylor with the 57th pick in the NHL Draft. Despite never playing a single minute in the best hockey league on the planet, he established himself as a more than a reliable player netting 7 goals and 36 assists in 257 games playing for various AHL teams.
Taylor played for three clubs in two different leagues last season, Orlando Solar Bears and Fort Wayne Comets (ECHL) and Orli Znojmo (EBEL).
