Damian Kapica: Every game I give it my best

Damian, the team noted nearly 50 shots on goal, but managed to score only once. Why?

The answer is short: Przemek Odrobny. He played an amazing game, his goalkeeping was the key factor.

How special was this game for you?

I started my career in Nowy Targ, but I approached this game just like any other. I’m a professional, I play for Cracovia and I always give it my best, no matter who’s the opponent.

Podhale has many former Cracovia players. Could it have some impact on the final result?

Not at all. Players change clubs constantly, every team has their distinct style and tactics.

You played in the starting lineup alongside Taavi Tiala and Erik Němec, a true international trio. Are there any communication problems between you?

No, we understand each other very well, both on and off the ice. We work a lot to be more automatic. We still have a room to improve, and that’s what we have to focus on.

Our next game will for sure be a tough one. Ciarko STS Sanok has caused us some problems this year. How will you approach this game?

It’s simple, we just have to score one more goal than the opponent while keeping them away from our net.
