Szymon Bieniek: It's hard work, but it's also fun

‘I can't wait for the first matches to prove my quality’ says Szymon Bieniek. The young defender of Comarch Cracovia told us a bit about his feelings about the preparation period, changes in the club and plans for the upcoming season.

‘I trained a lot in the transition period between the previous season and the beginning of preparations, which means that the hardships of current activities do not affect me.’

‘Honestly, I like the preparation period and the intense grind, and I'm not afraid of hard work. But after all, ice training is ice training, it is something different and special. So I can't wait until we finally get on the surface and start working there.’

‘I think I am a strong offensive defender who can create chances. I also like to assist, looking for places where I can get the puck to my teammates. I also have no problem blocking shots.’

‘I would definitely like to score my first goal in the top league. It didn't happen last season, but I must admit that this is my little dream. I certainly also want to improve my points tally. I hope that in the 2024/25 campaign it will be more than two.’
