JOE WIDMAR STRENGTHENS PASY TEAM!
The American with a Luxembourg passport, Joe Widmar, is the new player of Comarch Cracovia in the ongoing season of the Polish Hockey League. 25-year-old center has signed contract till the end of the current season.
Joe Widmar was born on February 12, 1995 in Northbrook, Illinois, and comes from a family with a hockey tradition - his father Andy and brothers Charlie and Ryan also played the fastest team discipline in the world. Joe plays in the middle position and presents excellent physical conditions - 186 cm tall and weighs 96 kg.
He started his career in his native junior leagues and for two seasons he played in NCAA university games. He has also played in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL), which is the third level in North America after NHL and AHL. Our new contestant played 57 games at the time, in which he scored 7 goals and 20 assists.
Last season, striker moved to Europe and got engaged to a French team from Nice, where he had the opportunity to play with our former player Norbert Abramov. Widmar in the top-grade French Ligue played a 27 games and his balance is 6 accurate hits and 3 key passes. From this season, the American will wear the colors of the Oldest Sports Club in Poland.
- I haven't heard much about Polish fhockey, but I know that Cracovia is a club that always fights for the highest goals. I want to support the team with my game and become an important part of it," said player just after assigning of the contract, which will be valid until the end of the season.
